Do you know why we are here?
This isn’t a self-help book.
It’s a self-surrender one.
Let’s be honest — none of us really know what we’re doing here.
Through stories of faith, doubt, and the strange beauty of being human, this book invites you to stop performing your way to peace and simply be — present, honest, alive.
Whether you believe in God, the universe, or nothing at all, these pages ask you to look closer — at your thoughts, your pain, your love — and see that grace was never somewhere else.
It was always here.
It’s not about perfection.
It’s about presence.
If you’ve ever asked, “Why am I here?”
or whispered, “God, are You still there?”
this book might just whisper back.

The 24/7 Loop — Reflections
Unawareness
The starting place — or maybe the place we keep returning to. The autopilot days, when life hums but you’re not really in it. It’s not wrong, it’s just asleep.
Pain/Discomfort/Fear
These aren’t punishments, they’re pressure valves. Life finally gets your attention, things crack open and it hurts to keep pretending. Growth never arrives quietly.
Seeking Change
The restless part — reaching for anything that feels different. Some searches are messy, but every one of them is movement.
Grace
The pause between what was and what will be. The breath you didn’t know you needed. The moment you realise God never left.
Awareness
You begin to see again — not perfectly, but honestly. The small things start to matter: light through a window, a heartbeat, another chance
Lack of Grace
The relapse. The forgetting. The part where you go back to fixing and earning instead of resting. It’s okay — the loop always circles back.
I Know
The trap disguised as confidence. When you think you’ve figured it out, but really you’ve just stopped listening. Certainty can be a quiet kind of blindness.
Lost in Thought
The drift back into noise, stories, distractions. The overthinking, the over-trying. Until, once again, you stop noticing — and the loop begins anew.

The 24/7 loop isn’t about hustle or constant motion. It’s about being awake — to yourself, to others, to God. It’s the ongoing rhythm of living: breaking, healing, growing, and beginning again.
It’s real life, unfiltered — the quiet, sacred cycle of showing up when it’s hard, laughing when you can, and holding on when you don’t know how. It’s the reminder that being alive isn’t a one-time thing — it’s something we keep returning to, moment after moment, day after day.
It’s not about always doing.
It’s about always being.
Fully. Honestly. 24/7.
The Author
This book started in the dark — not the dramatic kind, just the real kind. The kind where you wake up and wonder what the point is. I didn’t plan to write it; I was just trying to breathe, to make sense of things that didn’t make sense anymore.
Somewhere along the way, light began to find its way back — in small moments, quiet grace, the kind of laughter that sneaks up on you. Turns out, jamming isn’t a thing of the past. There’s still rhythm left in the mess, still music in the movement of just staying here.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re done, I get it. But maybe this book finds you the way grace found me — slowly, softly, when I wasn’t looking for it. I don’t have all the answers. I just know that love — real love, God’s love — doesn’t disappear when things fall apart. It stays. It listens. And somehow, it brings you home.
So come alive and be alive; the world needs the sound of your heartbeat.
Growth: The Journey We’re All Called Into
We weren’t made to stay the same. Every one of us is invited into a slow, honest becoming — the kind that doesn’t always look pretty, but always has purpose. Growth is God’s mercy in motion, shaping us into who we were created to be.
And just like a plant, your story has stages.
Seed
Buried. Unseen. Held by dark soil and God’s quiet promise.
You may feel hidden or overlooked, but even here — especially here — something sacred is beginning.
Seedling
Fragile, wind-tossed, still learning where the light is.
This is the season where support matters… and where you realise you can’t grow alone.
Growing Plant
Roots digging deeper. Trunk thickening.
The awkward, in-between season no one celebrates — the one where everything feels messy, stretching, uncomfortable.
But this is where real strength forms.
Flowering
Beauty starts to appear. Hints of who you’re becoming.
But it’s not the final form yet — it’s a promise of what’s on the way.
Fruit
Slow. Sweet. Finally here.
But fruit isn’t for yourself — it’s meant to nourish others, to be shared, to leave something better than you found it.
Your growth isn’t just about you. It’s about the lives you’ll touch without even realising it.

Wherever you are — seed, seedling, plant, flower, or fruit — you’re growing.
Not behind. Not late. Not broken. Just in process.
And God is patient with process.
This space, this book, this journey — it’s here to remind you that you are becoming, even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.
You’re not finished.
You’re growing.

A 24/7 Update – Walking Further Into the Light
Some time has passed since I wrote It’s a 24/7 Thing, and a lot has changed within me. The deeper I’ve stepped into the light of Christ, the more clearly I’ve been able to see the darkness I once lived in. When you are still in that darkness, you don’t even realise it – everything looks the same, and you become blind to what holds you captive. But light and darkness do not mix. Since writing this book, I no longer smoke weed or turn to anything to escape life. By the blood of Jesus, I have been set free, and I now live in a freedom I never knew was possible.
I also want to address something important: if anything I wrote seemed to enable my younger sibling’s identity crisis, that was never my intention. My heart was simply to show love, because Scripture teaches us that our battle is not against flesh and blood. True repentance and transformation can only happen after we are first loved and saved by God. My prayer is that one day my sibling will read this and understand that everything I wrote came from a place of love, and from a desire to point people toward the truth that has changed my life.

1 John 1:5–7 (ESV)
“This is the message we have heard from Him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
